Reading the many complimentary testimonials here from Mark’s clients doesn’t surprise me in the least.  I have known Mark and his two siblings since they were born and have watched them progress over life’s hurdles.  About the late 80’s, Mark came over one evening with his parents and had a go at my “little magic box”, the Macintosh SE, which I had purchased in 1986 to help in my work as a freelance Graphic Designer.

In the ensuing years, I had many encounters with technicians to solve the problems with the early Mac OS’s.  I had “jumped off a cliff” so to speak, with a technology I was clueless about.

The Mac SE progressed up the ranks to a Quadra 700, Power Mac, G5 tower and now an iMac with two screens.  Mark has been responsible for keeping my Macs up to par since the tower days.  In a recent session to upgrade my Mac OS “Mavericks”, several issues were discovered that were not appealing to me, and Mark recommended that I keep my older OS with a few tweaks here and there with software that would allow me to continue my work unhindered.  In other words, if it ain’t broke… don’t fix it!

I had an appointment with Mark at our house to check out my Android tablet and iMac.  Despite our noisy household, dogs (three sent out of range), incoming phone calls etc., Mark cleared, updated and added with his usual calming personality.  A regular visit as planned, I thought.

Then on a whim I asked if he could one day search out a new TV for us as our ancient 32 inch, 20 year old was showing intermittent, dying gasps.  Mark sprung into action cheered on by a cup of tea and with my encouraging “why not today if you have time?”  With a computer search for a recommended Sony model at a nearby outlet, it was reserved, picked up and carried in by Mark ready to tackle the setting up… and tackling he did!  The ancient TV was dramatically dusty but Mark was not daunted or overcome (with help of the vacuum cleaner).  Then armed with a mallet to knock out pieces of wood blocking room for the gorgeous new 40 inch TV in the old cabinet, he installed it perfectly with a carpenter’s ease and eye.  The proper height was accomplished by two large coffee table books chosen for their matching colors.  A drawer was created with an old wooden tray (to accommodate the Shaw box) which perfectly matched the wood of the cabinet!  Talk about flexibility and an eye for fashion a la Mark!  With all the debris and wrapping in a neat pile, he set up and connected pronto the welcome newcomer which is being enjoyed by young and old!  Thanks Mark!
